The first day of regular season games was held on Monday May, 29th. It was a day full of shockers. Starting with
Spencer Elbert taking the place of Eddie Dempley's Team and ending with an unlikely start to the regular season. The first
game was held between The Border Hoppers and the Thunder. This coud have been the mostv shocking game of the year when Steven
Peake who had been the overall best hitter in the pre-season didn't have a hit until the bottom of the sixth when he was trailing
8-0. The BHoppers won 8-2. Then another shocker S.A.M upset Spencers team 3-2 and then put Luke Schumukie's Hungry Hungry
Hippos in a thriller.
S.A.M led 4-2 going into the the bottom of the sixth when Schumukie hit a two-run homer to tie it. Noone scored in the
fist extra inning, but Luke walked 6 straight giving Evan the lead at 7-4. S.A.M. won the game by that score.
